Driving into the Bradshaw Mountains

Driving into the Bradshaw Mountains with friends Judy and Richard. We saw some nice scenery and drove thru a town called Bumblebee. It was so small (about the size of a bumblebee...lol.)

Stopping at Cleator to Stretch our Legs

We stopped at Cleator - population 9... We went into the bar and found 1/3 of the population. Had a great visit.

Driving from Cleator to Crown King up the Mountains

A wonderful scenic drive up into the Bradshaw Mountains.

Christmas Trees in the Bradshaw Mountains

We were given a nice surprise while driving from Cleator to Crown King. Some mysterious decorator had some fun in the mountains. There were several trees decorated for Christmas along the way. I didn't get a picture of all of them but here are examples of a few.

Crown King Saloon and Horsethief Lake

We had a super lunch at the Crown King Saloon with Judy and Richard. It is the oldest running saloon in Arizona. It was moved board by board from Oro Belle to Crown King in 1906. Crown King has a population of 100 and the elevation is over 6000 ft. After lunch Judy and Donna browsed thru the Prospector Mall and then we drove to Horsethief Lake and stretched our legs.

Driving Back Down Thru The Bradshaw Mountains

Wonderful scenery and an Awesome Sunset to end the day!!

Christmas Day dinner with other campers

Gary carved the Ham. The dinner including turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberries, vegetables and dessert was very good. The company was fun too.

Christmas Eve Morning Breakfast
